Our Tubeset for the Hiwatt DG504 features our outstanding RT-7025 TAD REDBASE 7025/E83CC HIGHGRADE   in the first position (V1) because of its high gain, but low microphony, powerful mids and a round, rich overtone sound - and therefore perfect for the input stage of your preamp.

 

For the second position (V2), we recommend our RT003 12AX7A/ECC83  TAD Premium Selected.  This tube provides for very good gain, tight deep bass, fat mids and a silky top end with overall definition and brightness. It is selected with balanced systems and improves overall response

 

For the following third positions (V3), our RT003 12AX7A/ECC83 TAD Premium Selected works best. This tube delivers very good gain, tight deep bass, fat mids and a silky top end with overall definition and brightness. It is selected with balanced systems and improves overall response. Best for clean tones, as well as for sounds requiring deep-bass power like any modern preamp.

 

In its latest version, our low noise tube, RT052 ECC81 / 12AT7-Cz TAD Premium Selected is the perfect tube for the V4 position: a strong driver tube with a wounderful rich-sounding reverb driver.

 

For the power tubes nothing but a matched pair of our new  RT122 TAD EL34 - STR REDBASE TAD PREMIUM Selected are to be used.  The clear and harmonic open top end allows for great clean tone and at the same time offers incredibly powerful mids and equally powerful bass. Very much like the famous Telefunken EL34.

 

Idling current should be set to 35-40mA per tube.
