TAD Tube Set for Koch Twintone, Twintone II & III | Various Tube Sets

 

The tubeset for the Koch Twintone and Twintone II features our RT-7025 TAD REDBASE 7025/E83CC HIGHGRADE in the first position (V1). This tube is outstanding because of its high gain, low microphony, powerful middles and a round, rich overtone sound.

 

For the second position (V2), we recommend our RT003 12AX7A/ECC83  TAD Premium Selected. It delivers a rich, harmonically complex tone and mid-range warmth that is just outstanding compared to any other currently manufactured tube today. Great warm and clean tones and creamy overdrive.

 

The two following positions (V3,V4) should use our RT003 12AX7A/ECC83  TAD Premium Selected. This tube delivers very good gain, tight deep bass, fat mids and a silky top end with overall definition and brightness. It is selected with balanced systems and improves overall response. It works best for clean tones, as well as for sounds requiring deep-bass power like any modern preamp.

 

The power tube section features a matched pair of our famous RT122 EL34-STR REDBASE TAD Premium Matched. The clear and harmonic open top end allows for great clean tones and at the same time the TAD EL34-STR REDBASE offers incredibly powerful mids and equally powerful bass.

 

The Bias should be set to 30-35mA.
