In the first position (V1), this tube set features our RT-7025 TAD REDBASE 7025/E83CC HIGHGRADE which is outstanding because of its high gain, but low microphonics, powerful mids and a round, rich overtone sound. Played clean, the TAD REDBASE 7025/E83CC delivers a warm liquid tone which is very responsive to dynamic playing.

 

For the second position (V2), we recommend our RT003 12AX7A/ECC83  TAD Premium Selected. It delivers a rich, harmonically complex tone with a mid-range warmth which is just outstanding compared to any other currently manufactured tube today. Great warm and clean tones and creamy overdrive.

 

The remaining preamp-stages (V3-V5) use our RT003 12AX7A/ECC83  TAD Premium Selected. This tube delivers very good gain, tight deep bass, fat mids and a silky top end with overall definition and brightness. It is selected with balanced systems and improves overall response. It works best for clean tones, as well as for sounds requiring deep-bass power like any modern preamp.

 

The power tube section features a matched pair of our fabulous RT122 EL34-STR REDBASE TAD Premium Matched. The clear and harmonic open top end allows for great clean tones and at the same time the TAD EL34-STR REDBASE offers incredibly powerful mids and equally powerful bass.

 

Please adjust bias according to the manual. Our EL34-STR REDBASE has quite a lot of gain, for that reaseon 22-28mA might be enough.
