Works of Gioachino Rossini 1 - Chamber Music without piano | Βιβλίο για σύνολα

Works of Gioachino Rossini 1 Grempler, Martina / Macchione, Daniela Chamber orchestra Edition of selected works, Score, Urtext edition, Anthology Linen XXXVIII, 88 S. - 33,0 x 25,5 cm Through 1829 Rossini was an extraordinarily prolific composer of operas, comic, serious, and semi – serious, in Italian and French, as well as of a great deal of vocal and instrumental music. He composed sacred music, vocal treatises, cantatas. Then, for many different reasons, he wrote very little music for more than twenty-five years, except some songs and the Stabat Mater. Only after he left Italy definitively for Paris in 1855 did he find his voice again. Between 1857 and 1868 a fresh group of masterpieces issued from his pen, the so-called Péchés de vieillesse (Sins of Old Age), including chamber music, songs, and the Petite Messe Solennelle.Producing a critical edition of Rossini’s music is complex. The operas often issued from his pen in multiple versions, all of which need to be made available. Sources for his non-operatic music, spread all over the world, must be identified, catalogued, and evaluated if we are to edit his music in a way that will serve the needs of both scholars and performers.»No composer in the first half of the 19th century enjoyed the measure of prestige, wealth, popular acclaim or artistic influence that belonged to Gioachino Rossini. His contemporaries recognized him as the greatest Italian composer of his time. His achievements cast into oblivion the operatic world of Cimarosa and Paisiello, creating new standards against which other composers were to be judged. That both Bellini and Donizetti carved out personal styles is undeniable; but they worked under Rossini’s shadow, and their artistic personalities emerged in confrontation with his operas. Not until the advent of Verdi was Rossini replaced at the center of Italian operatic life.« Philip Gossett, The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians(Die Musikforschung 1-2010)   Editorial Policy   Criteri redazionali   Abbreviations - Abbreviazioni   Principal Sources - Fonti principali   Preface   Prefazione   Facsimiles - Facsimili     Chamber Music without piano - Musica da camera senza pianoforte:   Composer / Author: Rossini, Gioachino Andante, e Tema con Variazioni (flauto, clarinetto, corno, fagotto)   Composer / Author: Rossini, Gioachino La Notte, Temporale, Preghiera, Caccia (2 flauti, clarinetto, violino I, violino II, viola, violoncello)   Composer / Author: Rossini, Gioachino Aria variata per il Violino (violino)   Composer / Author: Rossini, Gioachino Andante e Tema con Variazioni per Arpa e Violino (arpa, violino)   Composer / Author: Rossini, Gioachino Serenata (flauto, oboe, corno inglese, violino I, violino II, viola, violoncello)   Composer / Author: Rossini, Gioachino [Duetto per Violoncello e Contrabbasso] (violoncello, contrabbasso)   Composer / Author: Rossini, Gioachino [Andantino et Allegro brillante pour Harpe] (arpa)
