In the first position (V1), this tube set features our RT-7025 TAD REDBASE 7025/E83CC HIGHGRADE which is outstanding because of its high gain, low microphony, powerful mids and round, rich overtone sound. Played clean, the TAD REDBASE 7025/E83CC delivers a warm liquid tone which is very responsive to dynamic playing.

 

For the second position (V2), we recommend our RT003 12AX7A/ECC83  TAD Premium Selected.This tube provides for very good gain, tight deep bass, fat mids and a silky top end with overall definition and brightness. It is selected with balanced systems and improves overall response

 

The following third position (V3) uses our RT003 12AX7A/ECC83  TAD Premium Selected. This tube delivers very good gain, tight deep bass, fat mids and a silky top end with overall definition and brightness. It is selected with balanced systems and improves overall response. It works best for clean tones, as well as for sounds requiring deep-bass power like any modern preamp.

 

For the power tubes, we use only a matched pair of  RT122 EL34-STR REDBASE TAD Premium Matched.  The clear and harmonic open top end allows for great clean tone and at the same time, the TAD EL34-STR REDBASE offers incredibly powerful mids and equally powerful bass.

 Consequently, this EL34 provides a maximum of gain and dynamic response.

 

When changing the power tubes, they need to be biased.
